On Saturday 19/1/00 Freight Corp service 6122 was worked
by single 4856 from Grafton to Kendall.. the 48 was used due to the failure of
the 81 rostered for the job... When the train arrived at Kendall, 1 82 class was
detatched off 1627 and placed on 6122, 4856 was placed onto 1627 and returned to
Grafton..... It has been many a long year since a single 48 class has worked a
mainline train on the coast...
