Both G 517 and G 518 will be written off. G 517 is the unit that suffered
the most damage and is currently stripped of most parts. G 518 has a slightly
twisted frame.

G517/518 from the Ararat crash were out the back of the Dynon diesel
shop on the track closest to the road. They are on their bogies and chained
together (no couplers or pilots) and chained to Y124. 518 is engineless
and you would have to say the crew were very lucky.
