Hi folks.
Can anyone advise whether NR30 is likely to continue in the lead west of
Melbourne, or if a loco change there is more likely. A change of colour
would make a pleasant break to that monotonous NR colour scheme (and to
think I got excited the first time I saw one three years ago!).
S class continue to come and go at Geelong loco. S301 at fuel point around
11 30 this morning, and S307 around the turntable. FV green T408 also
present. No ideas as to there movements I'm afraid.
Regards,
Russell Armstrong
Geelong, Vic.
PS Looking at the sent date above on Ivar's original message, have I done
a Rip Van Winkle and slept all through Friday without realising it, or does
the International Date Line now run along the Murray? Will the train
consequently reach Melbourne before it departed from NSW? If so that will up
rail's competitive edge on road transport, which is still bound by the
restrictions of time! [I guess a less exciting but more likely explanation
is a wrong date in a computer.]
