I have observed twice, first last Sunday and then again on Tuesday
that NR 60 and 99 were both shutdown in Narromine yard. I have previously
photographed two Silverton 48's shut down in Narromine yard also. From the
previous observations I can only assume that if the loads are going to
Newcastle that the NR's bring the train to Narromine and then the two 48'2
run it through to Cobar for loading. Return the train to Narromine and then
the NR's take it through to Newcastle.
I can only assume again that the 48's must run light engine back to
Parkes for servicing etc between trips as I have only once seen the units
shutdown in Narromine.

Evening Bevan. It was my understanding that Silverton was to run all the way
to Newcastle with 3EN2 if thats from Cobar as the NR's would not run to
Cobar. When at Dubbo i photoed 442's and48's doing a driver learn the road
trip to Gulgong.
