2000 is a leap year.

Divide by 4 (last two digits only) for leap year.

For turn of century eg 2000 divide by 400.  
So 1600, 2000, 2400 are leap years, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2100, 2200 2300 etc
are not leap years.

Would you like to know about leap seconds?
