Evening all,
Bruce, like many of his mark 1 relatives went from original Tuscan (or
Indian) red to red terror, being passed by the "reverse" and "candy"
schemes.
Others that come to mind were 4801, 4802, 4804, 4805, 4810, 4812,4813
4815, 4818, 4823, 4824 & 4837.
Those that went straight from tuscan to blue were 4803 & 4807.
Units remaining in Tuscan until their disposal by SRA were 4814, 4816,4817,
4819, 4820, 4821, 4822, 4831, 4835, 4840. 4830 remains on the books in
tuscan.
Units in reverse at disposal were 4825, 4826, 4829, 4832, whilst 4809 & 4828
are still on the books in reverse colours.
Units in Candy were 4808,4811, 4827, 4833, 4838, 4843, 4844, whilst 4841 &
4842 remain on the books in candy.
Units in red terror at disposal were 4802, 4810, 4812, 4813, 4815, 4823,
4824, 4834, 4837, 4839, 4845. There is some cinfusion as to the actual
ownership of 4812 (CAR1), but it was painted at Delec into the current
scheme. 4801, 4804, 4805, 4818 are still on the books in red terror.
Of course we all know that 4836 was 125th anniversay green when sold at
auction in 1994.
4803, 4806 & 4807 were the only mark 48's painted blue with 4803 now with
the RTM in tuscan & 4807 still at Junee although last seen covered in off
white or grey pigeon droppings.
I hope that this is of assistance to some of you.
Regards
Ivar
