RE: Parkes To-Day

I'm wondering which crossing it would be: the Newell Highway has boom
gates. There are two crossings further east: one at the east end of the
yard, another a couple of kms east, plus the two crossings just west of
the depot and one on the Narromine line just west of Goobang yard, but
all are equipped with bells and flashing lights. There are another few
several kms out of town in every direction; again, I think all have
bells and lights.

Danny, my only sighting of the BH pass through Parkes was around
1430-1445 or so from memory: it surprised me that it would take over two
hours from Orange for what is 100km by road.

Afternoon all,
They said there was a woman and child seriously injured
Probably in the car, but they didn't say if it was a
passenger train or not.
Could it have been the Broken Hill pass ? I'm not sure
when it leaves town.

On the south Danny
