XPT power cars

            Has anyone noted that some XPT power cars are sporting a 
fresh coat of paint (which many were in need of) ?. I saw XP 2010 (i 
think) this morning at Sydenham (sitting on the wrong side of the train) 
and what caught my eye was the unusually glossy finish of the paint work. 
There also appears to be a slightly different font used for lettering. I 
have been told this repaint is being done at RSA Chullora, but I am 
unsure why the repaint is being done before the re-engining of the XP's. 
I hope this is of interest.
