Hello,
Unfortunately some rumours do come true.
Luckilly, the warning was posted and recieved in time by all those railfans
driving hundreds of miles....
I have been informed this morning that this train finally departed Parkes at
8-15am (08-15) with 8181 leading.
The time for the scheduled departure was 6-00am (06-00).
With luck, the 81 class may be detached at Orange for anyone still waiting.
I believe that it was expected to pass Maldon around 4-10pm (16-10) but that
isn't very likely now!
Of course if it gets routed via Bacchus Marsh to miss the Jap tourists it
will be later still! Is this a relapse of my past sarcasm?
Bye.
