Aus loco discussion mailing list
Hi there all.
Saw some very unusual events at Rozelle. On arrival at approx 3pm, 4814
arrived with a trip train from Cooks, EL58 & 4703 in the new livery were
awaiting a fresh crew after working off the north. 5 mins after 4814 on
AUS 1 trip train arrived, 4486 and 4716 arrived also on a lengthy trip
train. from Leightonfield. This created a real bottleneck, and to make
things worse, two 80s were on a sandstone train, and 1873 arrived at
approx 4pm with a trip train from Yenorra. An impressive quad was made
up with 4716, 4486, 4703, and EL58, departing for Botany at approx 5pm
with 48 wagons in tow. 4814 followed back to Cooks River on a another
trip train, and 1873 commenced it's shunting duties. A very busy few
hours at Rozelle.
I hope this helps
Stuart Ellis
