As I was heading back to work my forward progress came to an abrupt halt due
to 48150, 101 and 106 hauling 26 loaded wheat hoppers rumbled through. I did
not hang around to see if they are running around and off to Parkes or are
heading straight through to Dubbo. My guess is they are on their way to
Parkes as they did not stop at the staff hut but proceeded straight on with
no change of staff.
Also in the yard is ST32 and an extremely rare single NR116 facing
Dubbo. The question is how did it get to Narromine by itself with a train?
Did the other loco not accompany it or did it head off to Parkes? It
definitely would not have gone onto Cobar. It could go as far as Nyngan but
that would be the end of the line.
