Ian Bowles has put in many hours of work developing the brake and physics of this wagon. These models were produced using Train Sim Modeler v1.1. Peter Vincent's CD "Victorian Railways Rolling Stock 1886 - 1996" was used as a reference while constructing these models. More info about this CD can be found at http://www.netspace.net.au/~pjv101/ About the prototype: -------------------- These vans were built in the mid 1950's. They were fitted with high speed bogies and their main use was on passenger trains. Vans used on the north east standard gauge line were fitted with a code board. Broad gauge vans had this information painted directly onto the louvres. They were used up until the 1980's when they were either withdrawn or placed on freight bogies and de-rated to normal freight use. Installation: ------------- This add-on uses an installation program. Double click on the executable file and follow the prompts to install the "VP louvre vans for Microsoft Train Simulator" When prompted to choose the directory for the installation of the VP vans, please make sure the path follows the following format if you change it from the default location: <drive>:\<directories>\Train Simulator\Trains\Trainset\Au_vp Where <drive> = Drive where you have installed MSTS. and <directories> = Any directories between the root directory of the drive and the "Train Simulator" directory. The weight of these vans represents an almost fully loaded wagon. To use these models, you will need to create a consist using the MSTS activity editor.
