A minor shunting mishap at Waterfall resulted in the condemning of two stainless steel cars. A train in the shunting neck was propelled into a train standing on the platform.
A view from platform 2 looking south, showing the broken pedestrian access ramp. A view from the road overbridge looking north, straight down the broken pedestrian access ramp. A view from the southern end of the platform looking north. The left hand end of the carriage is where the pedestrian access ramp used to be.
A view from the cutting on the down side of the line facing north towards the point of impact. Aren't they supposed to be on the track? 45 degree angle parking?
"The train on platform 2 terminates. Please do not join this train." A view from the road overbridge looking north showing where the pedestrian access ramp used to be, and where it landed (far left of photo). A view from the cutting on the up side showing the point of impact.
