Two 81 class locomotives on 9162 Dunmore to Sydney stone train derailed at the catch points at the Northern end of Unanderra.

The rear bogie of 8127 has been ripped away from the locomotive. 8127 "In the dirt". 8127 where it came to stand.
8127 ploughed into the ground. The rear cow catcher of 8127 appears to be holding onto the rails, preventing the loco from going further away from the running line. The down main line also suffered damage.
The jumper never disconnected. The down rail broke as the up side wheels ran over it. The train has come to a rest very close to the down main.
The wet ballast has been soaked by leaking diesel. Minor end damage to the two locomotives.
