BHP Kemira line

There are no trains running today on BHP's Kemira line as it has suffered severe damage during the storms and floods which hit Wollongong yesterday. I have just been up for a look and the worst damage is just west of the Central Rd level crossing where the loop used to be. Part of the ballast embankment was washed onto the road leaving the track suspended. Ballast has also been washed away just before Mount Kembla where the track runs beside the road.
The down Bomaderry freight had a single 82 class today seen at Unanderra.
G533+X38 were started and moved about 100 metres so they could be refuelled from a road tanker. They have now moved back to the log wagons.
Regards,
Chris.
