G517 & 518 at Dynon Loco

G517 and G518 are currently outside Dynon Loco under the CityLink
bridge without bogies.  G517 has no prime mover or alternator (it's
really just a shell.

Talking to an FV rep, G517 will certainly be written off, they will
evaluate G518 to see if there are enough bits from both locos to
warrant a repair of G518.  

I'll have photos of the two locos on my web page after 2200h today and
will post when they're up.

I'm also told that two BG Gs will be transferred to SG this weekend at
Dynon to replace G517-518.

In other news, plans are that the four S class will be refurbished
including cab improvements to allow them to lead on trains.  A source
said that the S's are needed beyond the current grain season and will
be refurbished "properly".
