A major gas leak in Melbourne's CBD has cstopped all train movements
between Spencer Street and Flinders Streets Stations across the Flinders
Street Viaduct. Trams have been terminated along flinders street, (west
end). Roads have been sealed off and building evacuated. The stoppage
has been in operation since before 9:30am this morning.
I have not as yet sighted the BHP Steel train on the viaduct, or any
Gippsland passenger services (assuming they did not run these through
the city loop), so the ban must be for both electric and diesel hauled
trains.
