Mon 16/11, run 8217/46 with S311, CP291, BS212, BRS221, BZ267, ACZ252,
PCP294, leaving the CP at WMB. I boarded the 1155 Sth Geelong as usual,
it stopped at Nth Melbourne at 1200 acc. line blocked by suburban train
collision at NPT, so I returned to MSS (good thing too, it went via
Brooklyn and got to Geelong after 8217!). 8217 was to be formed by
busses, but at 1240 we were changed back to a train, dep MSS 1256, stop
NPT up end 1311-1401 acc. damaged sparks in platform. An up pass ran
past via Brooklyn, then NR+NR19 up steel, then another up pass before we
got going. Cross 8232 at Corio (normally Winchelsea!), GEX loco G513,
G526, T392, T374, T408, Y163, G523, G527. Finally arrive WMB 71 late.
A79, B76, S300 at WMB. Dep 27 late, cross 8237 at WIA (B61), only 7
late out of WRB, but held 5 mins down end NPT acc. points failure,
GM42+CLP12 went past at 2100, we arrived MSS 12 late.

late, at 2033 struck scaffold on Little River bridge, damaged brake pipe
on loco which lost all air and hence stopped the train. Totally
disabled 400m up side Little River. Relief loco A79 sent from Melbourne
- unable to proceed past Werribee. Relief loco X54 came from GEX
(eventually), hauled train back to platform, transfer passengers onto
busses. A79 still at WRB when busses set down. Busses arrive MSS 0050,
