PL1 and PL2 are expected to do trials over the next few nights
between Clyde and Penrith. The plan is to use them in push- pull
workings on container trains. Remote control equipment is being
installed, and also locotrol equipment. There is a photo of PL2 inside
Chullora workshops in the upcommnig issue of Motive Power, due out on
the 2nd of December.

They look very different, and the chopped nose extends across the whole
body, unlike the South Australian DA class locomtive, which is of a
short width nose configuration. The windows are a stock standard 81
class window, and are slightly tilted inwards, similar to an 82 class
unit. It also sports the larger marker lights above the winodws, similar
to the ones found on the 90 class locos.

I hope this helps
