The bogies on the NB class were originally fitted to Alco C636 locomotives
from one of the mining companies in W.A. but have been modified by Austrac
as they were slightly too wide for the NSW loading gauge. The main change
was replacing the original brake cylinders in the bogie sides with smaller
diameter ones from a NSW 48 class. More details about the NBs can be found
