re: 5461

There is some doubt as at 18:30 Tuesday 11/8 as to how much of this consist
will be on the train. 5461 is apparently ready, the CW should be ready, and
I believe the TAM is OK. However, the amount of shunting to be done to get
to the RBR & BL, as well as the time needed to inspect axle boxes, drawgear,
brakes etc. will probably preclude them from the movement. The TF took
about 5-6 days to prepare, and staff were still working on it during
Saturday (on their own time). It was moved around in the yard on Tuesday.
The ROVA MECH inspection will be made on Thursday. It will also be tight as
far as the Loop Line into Picton is concerned, as I understand that it is
still closed for resleepering. It was stated that 'we will be able to get
the train out' at last night's Curatorial meeting at Burwood.
4601 is already at Valley Heights. The TAM is going to State Mine, and will
be removed from the RTM's Deed of Gift.
Regards,
