What are
Wheel Arrangements? |
Wheel arrangements
describe the way bogies are configured on locomotives. The standard used
with Diesel/Electrics/etc. gives a number of axles a letter (2 axles is B,
3 axles is C) and if the axle is powered, it is given an 'o' prefix. The
following are common on QR locomotives, both electric and diesel. |
Co-Co |
The Co-Co arrangement
consists of two bogies with three driven axles on each.
