4000 Class - Diesel Electric

<-BACK
Designed by Clyde and built by Walkers, this will be one of the most powerful narrow gauge locos in the world. They will be similar to Westrail's S class; however, being AC instead of DC will give them a higher tractive effort.

Their duties will include mostly coal and mineral haulage, such as the Moura, Callide, and Newlands coal mines, the Phosphate Hill phosphate mine, and Mt Isa-Townsville mineral traffic.

A stock pile of 4000s is building up outside Walker Ltd. Maryborough why'll they wait to undergo testing. A couple of bugs are being ironed out at this stage.
