The Aims and Objectives of the Melbourne Tramcar Preservation Association
are as follows:
It is also the aim of this group to encourage an awareness of
the coachwork methods used in the construction of these wooden Body type
cars with the viewing of such trams under overhaul by visitors to the museum.
In these days when modern vehicles are of metal and fibreglass construction
the retention of skills associated with coachwork restoration and rebuilding
are one of the main functions of this group.
