Broadmeadows is the terminus for all electric suburban services.  The line continues on to Albury in Broad Gauge, while the Standard Gauge heads for Sydney and beyond.  The Standard Gauge line and Broad Gauge freight line rejoin the mainline at Jacana.

All VLP country trains stop here to pick up and set down depending on direction.  The electrified line will most probably be extended beyond here to terminate at Craigieburn or Somerton in the future, while the proposed Airport line may branch off just after BMS heading west.
