Traditionaly S sets are 4 cars and R sets are 6 cars. 2 S sets make up a
8 car train.
There are also L sets with 2 cars. There used to be NC sets that were 2
and 3 cars in the Newcastle area.

Now with the "run with what ever you have" theory of train marshaling
anything goes ie 7 car R and S sets, R sets with 4 powercars, 6 cars
with L & S sets, 4 car R sets etc. There was even a 4 car set with 2
chopper cars tulloch waggon and a series 1 power car.
