One of the night services (NT1)provides reasonably good times up ntil about
Kempsey - NT3 then provides good time from Coffs Harbour north.

Much the same applies on the reverse.

One of the things I tried to achieve was the provision of a decent sleeping
car service from Sydney to CFS/GFN/CSI and north. I believe I have achieved
this (although the 0600 arrival in Sydney *could* be considered to be
early - although they do this now in Brisbane, so there is a precedent).
