Re: New Citytrain Ad - [Qld]

Hi all,

The new Citytrain Ad has been on TV for nearly 2 weeks. It concludes
it's first round, of on-air screenings this weekend - so you had
better be quick if you want to have a look.

The Ad launches the new Citytrain slogan, "Timing is Everything".
Hence the use of basketballs "silver bullet" - if you watch the ad you
will know that for the bullet, timing is everything, one slip up, one
miss time and he is in big trouble. Plus it is a good tie in with
sports - Citytrain has in previous months dedicated much time to joint
promotions with major sporting events. Indy, QLD 500, Winter Racing
Carnival, Melbourne Cup and in fact even tomorrow are offering free
transport to Doomben for a "Young Race Goers" promotion. When
travelling to any event - Timing is everything.....you don't want to
miss any of the action.

Watch out in coming weeks for new outdoor advertising billboards and
posters at stations with the "Timing is Everything" message.

Also, for Brisbane residents, Citytrain is on the Briz31 show "Fame"
nearly every week. This infomercial style show nearly always has
someone from Citytrain talking about up coming promotions.

Citytrain's new Trainlink service to Bribie Island was launched this
morning with an outdoor free breakfast and Radio 4KQ broadcasting live
from the Island. This takes the number of fully integrated QR
Trainlink services to Four.

Nerang to Surfers
Caboolture to Bribie
Nambour to Noosa
Ipswich to UQ Ipswich Campus

All ticketing products are available including half price weekend
return tickets, 4 for 1 fares and 30% off - return tickets after 9am
Monday to Friday.

The new afternoon EXPRESS service to Ipswich. Departs Central at
5.26pm and runs express from Roma Street all the way to Redbank is a
boomer - averages already about 320 people on board each day.
Advertisements have appeared in the Queensland Times Newspaper and in
the City News Weekly.

On Monday 29 November, a new PREMIUM EXPRESS service commences on the
Caboolture line. It runs express from Bowen Hills to PETRIE stopping
only at Northgate. Service is being advertised in the City News
Weekly, Mondays Courier Mail, and all northside (Cab line) free weekly
suburban papers. This express service will no doubt be as successful
as the Ipswich service.

On 2 December, the last timetabled loco hauled SX service will depart
Shorncliffe at 7.20am. A free breakfast will be provided to
passengers and guests on the day and a limited SPECIAL edition
souviner ticket will be available for people who ride the service.
Most media outlets will be in attendance for this event. Certainly is
the end of an era!!

If I hear of any other news or events of interest for you folks - I
shall return!!

Cheers :-)
