Three of the busiest level crossings in Brisbane have traffic lights.

They are also the three most 'incident prone' level crossings. This is due
mostly to the level of traffic, which leads people into thinking they can
run the Red Light, whether the light is a traffic light OR a level crossing
light.

The police look after the Red Light Cameras, not the Railways, and the
fatality levels at level crossings pale in comparison to the daily road
carnage, so they put their Red Light cameras where they feel they would do
the most good.
