Most taits and doggies became firewood, or back yard / paddock ornaments.
The first series Harrises are now in a pit in clayton.
The rest of the Harrises were either scrapped or became V/Line H sets. (the 
cars with the sliding exterior doors, and incredibly small windows). A few 
became comeng-wannabe's but after a few years were either scrapped or 
became more V/Line H cars.
Most hitachi's are still in existence. Some were scrapped acc. accidents.
Most comengs are still in service. Some scrappings occured due to 
accidetns, etc.
4D is still rattling around most days.
