New Geelong PIDS

G'day

workmen were at work (?) today (20/5) at Geelong station, removing the
old clocks near the entrance to Platform 1, and the display boards on
each platform showing where the next train was stopping.  In their
place, small modern style PIDS displays were installed (as per those at
Werribee and Footscray).

The old clocks and pull down stopping board thing is being stored
pending some form of preservation.  I feared it would go to the tip, but
am assured otherwise.
