In reply to Peter Mason, unfortunately there is only one way in/out of WA so
on the rare occasions WA is isolated by flood waters from ex tropical
cyclones,that's it, nothing goes anywhere.
Friday's IP left Adelaide for Kalgoorlie as normal with an express 'luxury'
omnibus from Kal to Px.
I noticed some of the punters in the media blaming GSR for (a) the washaway
and (b) the temerity of GSR in shifting the punters off the IP on to a bus
for the final part of the journey.
This typifies the self centredness of many people who live in their own
little world and woe betide anyone who tries to disrupt it.
Full marks to GSR in endeavouring to keep the service rolling along. It
meant a lot of extra work for GSR in rebookings etc.
