Re: Victorian Diesels.
B Classes were the Diesel's that came and replaced our wonderful Steam
Age, (I am too young the good old days) when the Victorian Railway's or
V/Line (whatever you want to call us) had an upgrade on loco's they
converted serval B Classes to A Classes, the design is still the same
with a modification's including more power. They kept the same number,
I.e. B79 converted to A79, As for the S Class I believe they were used
for streamlined Express Passenger Service's.
