The VHST hasn't been forgotten. Only last week both the ABC and Canberra
Times reported that Speedrail had signed somethingorother with the NSW
government. Also an article about Melbourne to Darwin in the Age last
week.

Actually reading the major daily Australian newspapers could be useful
before making grand statements. I read the Canberra Times, SMH, Age and
Australian, and keep a close eye (ear?) on the ABC (2CN and Newsradio).
