The Carr govt. has released its integrated transport policy (Copies
available from DOT) which includes a major expansion of the rail system
over the next twenty years.
The first project is Parramatta-Chatswood followed by a number of other
projects  It is certainly worth getting a copy of the policy integrated
transport policy document to see where rail could be heading given the
committment of the necessary resources.
