Broadmeadows Line News

1. Moonee Ponds Station is under threat in plans by the Moonee Valley
city council to eliminate the Puckle Street level crossing with a
tunnel. The tunnell would start near Ascot Vale Station and resurface
before Park Street (see Melway map 28 or visit www.melway.com.au). The
station building is very old and may be kept where it is as a resteraunt
or other. For more see the Moonee Valley Gazette (31st May)on page 4?
if you have access.

2. On Sunday a week ago (29th May?) I noted a train on DOWN at 6:15
consisting of:
N class loco-5 carriages-N class-3 carriages
IN THAT ORDER
It seems that a late train was coupled to the back of another (possibly
Shepparton Pass on back of Albury Pass?, it looked quite strange!!
