Re: Ex-Hammersley Iron SD50s & C36-7s....Where Are They Now?



Here is a list of second-hand U.S. locomotives which operated on the iron
ore railways in Western Australia. The list may not be complete:

Hamersley Iron:
Alco S-2 007, ex Spokane Portland & Seattle built 1940;
Alco C-415 demonstrator 008 built 1968;

Mt Newman Mining:
EMD F-7 5450 and 5451, ex Western Pacific (possibly via the Oro Dam Rly)
built 1950;

Cliffs Robe River:
Alco C636 9417 and 3 others, ex Chesapeake & Ohio
Alco C636 9424, ex Burlington Northern 4639, ex Spokane Portland & Seattle
343 built 1968
