Melbourne, Hurstbridge line:
Soon the last remaining Outer Circle track will be cut out.

It looks like the work currently underway will remove the points that
access the Fulham Grange Station reserve & the APM.

Hope that the new private rail operators can organise private busses
from Heidelberg to Clifton Hill in a hurry, if any thing goes wrong in
between these stations.

This also reduces the costs to the Govt for track maintenance in the
future, and limits the options for providing inner suburbs a more
frequent service by using Fulham grange as a shunting area and turn
around point.

This area could have been an overnight stabling area for 3-4 full length
trains.

Time to go and grab some of the last 22 foot pieces of rail left in
Melbourne. ( but only for the real enthusiasts ).
