The Victorian Railways tram line from St Kilda station to Brighton
alone had three crossings of MMTB lines... across the St Kilda Beach
line tracks in Fitzroy Street right outside the station, across the St
Kilda Beach- North Richmond/Kew Cotham Rd tracks at Carlisle Street
and across the Point Ormond shuttle's tracks in Glenhuntly Road.

All were on the level.

Before the MMTB was established circa 1919, the was the MMT&O
company's cable tramway which had crossings with the various municipal
trust lines, especially on the Winsdor route (Now the Prahran line] .

The only city in the world where you will find signs at pedestrian
crossings which say: "Pedestrians give way to traffic."
