There is an excellent map of the system in "Brisbane Tranmways -- The
Last Decade" by David R Keenan and Howard R Clark, Transit Press,
Sydney, 1977.

You should be able to find it in a library, or second hand somewhere.

Generally the lines all ran in the middle of the road, but there were
a few exceptions, eg the Toowong line in the single track at the end
weaved across the road in Dean St and was in the gutter in Woodstock
Road. The map doesn't show this degree of detail, but it does show
which side of the centre line most of the single tracks were on, where
all the reserved track was, where the auto points and signal boxes etc
were. It also shows all the trolleybus wiring.

Salisbury Compo Road 61 was a shortworking outbound of the main
Salisbury route 71. It was situated on the reserved track section
where the line turned from Beaudesert Rd into Evans Rd.

The main route ran from Salisbury to Clayfield as Route 71 and was
Brisbane's busiest tram line.

There was also a shortworking called Route 61 -- Clayfield Oriel Rd
outbound on the Clayfield section, but there was no regular Route 61
that ran from Oriel Road to Compo Road.
