Concerning perpendicular intersections:   

All the talk about the Curlew Point (power house) line at Stirling North
reminded me of the real one at Stirling North; viz:  the narrow gauge from
Quorn crossed the Pirie-to-Marree leg of the triangle by means of removable
rails in order to reach the transfer ramp and, prior to the lifting of the
third rail, to reach Port Augusta.
