  there are (were?) some near ashfield like this, but they are following the
semi-automatic rule
of not being staggered because they can be controlled, but have an illuminated
'A' when placed
in automatic. the signals at ashfield have a reflective white letter 'A' on a
black square located below
the signal, simply because it was easier to add a sign than move the lights to
stagger them when the
signal was converted to a fully auto signal (was previously controlled by
strathfield).
