Although we would like to say is about to happen, running trains is not at
the top of our priorities. In the immediate future we will be concentrating
on moving the rest of our collection on to the display site. This includes
all the stock in Dorrigo yard. To allow this to happen we will be continuing
the earthworks on the display site, and laying more storage sidings. We will
then be setting up a limited static display. This will give us the income
stream to expand the static display (which will further increase the income
stream) and to start work on the line.

We are looking at some options to stage limited open days this year. As for
running 6039, dispite her good condition, there will be quite a few other
locos restored first. Even if the bridges are deemed to be safe for her
weight, we would need to pack about 20 carriages to pay for the coal she
would eat. The first steam locomotive in service will probably be 3046.

The next locomotives to move to Dorrigo will be our BHP diesels, which will
(hopfully) go North this month.
