XPTs to return to Canberra?

I received word from a usually reliable source that the 6.50 up and 18.14
down Canberra Xplorers will become 2+5 XPTs "some time next year", and may
run express Campbelltown - Moss Vale - Goulburn on weekdays. This is due
to increasing popularity and heavy bookings on these services for most of
this year.

Anybody else heard this, or is it just another rumour? I'm wondering if it
might have something to do with Olympic traffic.
