Christmas greetings and best wishes to all
for the coming year 2000,from the
Peterborough Station staff.

I have a story with a difference today, two passengers
were booked to catch the Indian Pacific in Adelaide
and were given the wrong departure time by the Travel
Agent , hense they missed the train by almost an hour
in Adelaide , the Indian Pacific train crew were advised
to pick up the fare in Peterborough, after a quick dash
by car they arrived at the Peterborough Station at
11:25 , which was exactly at the same time  the
eastbound IP arrived , needless to say there was much
relief shown by all concerned, as they continued on
there journey.

The eastbound Indian Pacific arrived at Peterborough
at 11:25 CST , and picked up four passengers, loco
in charge was NR14.  Running on time.
