ABC reported that a Sydney - Perth NR freight had been instructed to pass
several defective signals. It was travelling at about 20km/h when crossed
by an up freight. The driver of the up freight also crossed a down
FreightCorp empty wheat right behind the NR train, and radioed the FC
driver to stop. The FC train reportedly came dangerously close to rear
ending the NR train.
