When people finally do get their Digest , I recommend reading the letters to
the Editor section , particularily the one from the Right Honourable J
Anderson MP , about what the Federal Govts policy to Rail is.
Without commenting on the substance of the letter,(there isnt much to comment
on) its worth noting that the Feds have still not made any response to the 3
outstanding inquiries into rail, the PC inquiry was tabled on the 5th August.
Its also worth noting that the WA Transport Minister has totally ruled out
handing over the WA section of the SG Network to ARTC.
So much for the one stop shop policy.
After the AP to darwin line is built , if ever, National operators will have
no less than 5 track access regimes and 6 State Rail Safety Acts to deal with.
Marvelous isnt it.
