This morning's ABC news reported some transport outcomes of last night's
$1000/head ALP dinner in Melbourne. One was the (re-)announcement of the
Box Hill tram extension, and another was to fast track the extension of
the Sydney-Canberra VHST through to Melbourne. There are some other
announcements to be made next weekend, which are rumoured to include an
airport railway in time for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
