Again, the "real" version isn't right. The chicken gun was invented by
(I think) Boeing, not NASA. The frozen chicken part of the story is
totally false.

British Rail did use such a device during the design phase of the HST
and APT, but did not use frozen chickens. However, when playing back a
high speed film of a test firing they notice a rather startled rat
clinging to said chicken.
