'Destination Subiaco' states "Trolleybuses appeared experimentally in 1933,
and in a big way from 1938 onwards". No mention of a closing date.
'The Tramways of Australia' (Brimson) has "The first sign that trams were
falling from favour appeared on 1 October 1933, when trolley bus services
were introduced on a route from East Perth to the West Leederville railway
station". Again no mention of a closing date.
